What is Curcumin?
Curcumin is the principal curcuminoid of turmeric, which is a member of the ginger family. The curcuminoids are natural phenols and are responsible for the yellow color of turmeric. Curcumin, the most active polyphenolic constituent of turmeric curcuminoids obtained from the rhizome Curcuma longa (turmeric roots).
